lauryn hill announces a new tour

f you’re one of the many fans who’ve been stood up because energies and time weren’t aligning, you’ll have a chance to make up for that starting this month. Lauryn Hill is hitting the road with the MLH Carvan: A Diaspora Calling! Tour. It will be similar in format to her inaugural Diaspora Calling! music festival which went down in Brooklyn in April this year with each show featuring a guest performance by artists "from throughout the African diaspora," as noted in a press release."The MLH Caravan allows me to continue the theme of unity and celebration of the many facets of cultural and artistic beauty throughout the African diaspora while on tour this summer and fall," Hill said in a statement. "In these days of tension, tumult and transition, an exchange of this kind can yield direction, expression, understanding and empowerment as well as connection, self Love and appreciation that hopefully overflows into our respective communities."Fans can look forward to performers such as Machel Montano (Trinidad), Stephen "Ragga" Marley (Jamaica), Stonebwoy (Ghana) and many more. A full line-up and additional dates are still to come but current dates see the tour kicking off in Philadelphia on 27 August and trekking through to Phoenix on 13 November. Here’s hoping she makes these show on time.
